In this series, I will discuss how to Configure SAP for Inbound Process.

In my previous blog, I had given an overview of an IDOC and Step 1 of Configuration.

In this blog I will cover the Configuration of a Distribution Model.

Configure a Distribution Model.

  • Go to Transaction Code: BD64. The Display Distribution Model window is displayed.
  • Click on Distribution Model from the menu bar and go to Switch Processing View.
  • It will change to Change Mode.
  • Now go to More and Select Create New View in Distribution Model.
  • Creating Model View. Give short text and technical name and dates.
  • Click on Right tick and We Can see that Model is created.
  • Now we need to add Message type. Go to more and select Add Message type.
  • Give Message class, Model view and In the Sender and Receiver fields, enter the logical system we have configured in first step.
  • Click on the Right tick to save the Information. You can see the Change Distribution Model window where this configuration is saved.
  • Click Save.

In the Next Blog I will discuss Configuring a Partner Profile.
