Creation of IDoc Type [WE30] in SAP

In this blog I will discuss about how to Create of IDoc Type.

SAP had recommended, for any custom development should be started with Z hence I am creating new IDOC Type as ZDEMO.

Creation of IDoc Type

• Go to Transaction Code: WE30.
• Enter the name of the object, that we want to create and select the Basic type, and click the Create icon.

• Select a new option to Create and Enter a description for your basic IDoc type and press Enter.

• Select the name of an IDOC and then click on Create Icon.
• It will populate a screen where we want to enter a type of segment and its attributes and Click on Right Tick Box.

• Now double click on segment.

• Give the Field for the Segment.

For Example I am using Contract.

• Go to Edit -> Set release the segment.
• Save it and go back
• Similar way we can create to add more segments to the parent or parent-child relationship.
