SAP HANA is a tool that comprises an In-Memory HANA database, together with various components, data modeling tools, data provisioning, and HANA administration, which makes it a whole package or suite for a business development system and centralized ERP system.
Deploy SAP HANA, express on Google Cloud Platform
(1) Go to the cloud console: https://cloud.google.com/
(2)Set up an account
(3)Look for the complete image of SAP HANA, express edition on the Google Cloud Platform using the search bar on the top. Click on the result that has server + applications.
(4)Click ON LAUNCH.
(5)After that, you have got to write down your Deployment Name, the zone where you wish to deploy and boot disk configuration.
(6)Scroll all the way down to accept the terms of service and agree on sharing information (remember, this is applicable to the test account) and click on Deploy.
(7)Wait until the instance is deployed and click SSH.
(8)Click on Edit button
(9)Edit the network settings
(10)And choose Create IP address
(11)Call the IP address any name and choose Reserve
(12)Scroll down and click Save
(13)Copy and paste the following command into the console:
sudo su — hxeadm
And press Enter
(14)You will be asked for some parameters to configure your SAP HANA, express edition instance.
(15)Configuration will take just a pair of minutes. In the meantime, continue with the subsequent step.
Configure access to your Virtual Machine
Select and copy CTRL+C the external IP address.
Paste it on Notepad for future use
The IP address should be followed by a space and hxehost
Save the file.
Connect to SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA
You will now connect to SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA. This is the editor in which you can create cloud-native, data-driven applications based on micro-services architecture.
Open a new incognito Google Chrome window.
Enter the following URL: https://hxehost:39030
