Smartforms in SAP ABAP
ABAP Series Part - 7.
In this blog, I will discuss what is SMARTFORMS and how we can upload an logo on smartform.
Smartforms, like SAP script, is additionally a tool for the presentation of business information. Smartforms is a kind of enhancement of SAP script and has additional facilities and options than SAP script.
Smartforms, like the SAP script, has constant 3 elements.
• Forms
• Styles
• Text modules (equivalent of ordinary texts in SAP scripts)
A form of Smartforms is represented as a graphical tree. elements of a form are organized in a tree-like hierarchical structure with nodes and sub nodes.
Why Smartforms?
- Multiple page formats are possible in SmartForms which is not the case in SAPScripts
- It is possible to have a SmartForm without a main window.
T-CODE: SMARTFORMS
Now we are uploading an image and seeing in output.
- Go to transaction SE78.
- Open “GRAPHICS” node and double click on BMAP Bitmap Image and F4 it. Give path location and select your image.
Note for Bitmap extension we can use paint for saving.
- Search the file which you want to upload, and give short description.
Also select the appropriate radio button. - Now go to transaction code SMARTFORMS.
- Create a new form and give a short description.
- To see an image, right click on Main Window -> Create -> Graphic.
- Give your filename.
- Save and Activate.
- And at last Run the SMARTFORM .
- Choose Printer and Select Print or Print Preview depends on us.
- And at last check the Output.
